Requirements:
High school diploma is essential; technical training in printing or mechanical operations is preferred but not mandatory One to three years of experience in the printing sector or a production/manufacturing environment Proficient basic math skills and the capability to adhere to detailed written instructions and specifications Keen attention to detail, accuracy, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results Familiarity with quality control standards and inspection methods Sound judgment and effective decision-making abilities in a production context Clear, respectful, and proactive communication skills Collaborative, team-oriented mindset, willing to assist colleagues and foster a positive workplace Mechanical skills with fundamental troubleshooting abilities to efficiently resolve machine issues Understanding of production requirements and the impact of Press operations on other departments Reliable and self-driven, demonstrating initiative in daily responsibilities and problem-solving Strong work ethic focused on safety, consistency, and continuous improvement Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed based on production demands Physical capability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs repetitively during the shift Ability to maneuver and position appropriately to operate machines effectively
Responsibilities:
Assist the Press Operator in producing high-quality prepaid card products Retrieve appropriate materials from inventory or work in progress areas Confirm the correct gauge, sheet size, and number of sheets with the Lead Operator before initiating production Prepare the press feeder and load it with stock Supervise ink fountains and replenish ink with necessary colors as required Monitor fountain solutions and associated fluids in the fountain solution system Aid in press setup, routine maintenance, and daily operations Support troubleshooting efforts for printing-related challenges and help identify suitable corrective measures Enhance production efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives Minimize production waste by implementing continuous improvement strategies Utilize all available press process control features and technologies effectively Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area Follow all safety protocols related to pressing and adhere to company safety standards
