Requirements:
We typically require a bachelors degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience. We need experience applying object-oriented software design in C++, C, and using MATLAB or Python to evaluate datasets. We need experience with UNIX/Linux, Apple OS, or Windows command-line environments. We need experience in electro-optics or radar processing, imaging EO/IR/RF systems, energy transport, radar physics, signal processing, or discrimination algorithms. We require the ability to obtain an Interim Secret U.S. government security clearance before the start date, along with eligibility for special program access. U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens can be granted a security clearance. We prefer an advanced degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM discipline. We prefer experience with OpenGL, CUDA, or other GPU-accelerated languages and architectures, as well as scene generation or sensor modeling technologies. We prefer experience with electronic warfare modeling, missile signal-processing algorithms, signal and image processing, digital communications, estimation theory, or AI/ML training methods. We prefer experience with real-time programming, software change-management tools and processes, build systems such as Make or CMake, and large production software environments. We prefer experience working with adjacent engineering disciplines such as Signal Processing, Systems Engineering, and Hardware Engineering.
Responsibilities:
We develop advanced modeling approaches and advocate for innovative solutions. We create new C++ models in a scalable and maintainable way. We implement EO or RF phenomenology and advanced physics principles in software. We help our customers succeed by driving adoption and effective use of our modeling solutions. We work efficiently within an established software product across multiple programming languages and build environments. We research and develop new EO or RF modeling capabilities. We coordinate with multiple development teams to prioritize and resolve complex software and physics challenges. We mentor team members and share our EO or RF expertise. We work onsite in Tucson, Arizona.
