Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Salary: $125,000 - 195,000 per year
Requirements:
We require an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. We require U.S. citizenship to obtain and hold the clearance. We are seeking at least 5 years of program-specific security engineering experience supporting Navy afloat or tactical combat systems, or 10 years of general security engineering experience. We require a minimum IAT Level II certification or higher under DoD 8570.01 or its successor. If serving in a privileged-user role, we require a final adjudicated T-5/T-R with an IT Level-1 designation in JPAS to be achieved and maintained. Privileged users must complete OS/CE training for each version within 6 months of the start date, with documented assessment evidence provided by the contractor. We need candidates with a solid understanding of cybersecurity, military system specifications, and DoD Information Assurance policies for land-based and afloat/tactical systems. We require the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats. A bachelors degree in cybersecurity is preferred.
Responsibilities:
We develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, guidance, and procedures for combat systems. We conduct cybersecurity research, analysis, and coordination in support of DoD cyber assurance and policy initiatives across multiple classification levels. We lead working groups to shape cybersecurity strategies that address emerging threats. We analyze cybersecurity, intelligence, and information technology policy gaps affecting combat systems. We perform cybersecurity systems engineering design, analysis, and documentation for combat systems. We create cybersecurity risk assessments and mitigation plans for combat systems. We produce documentation covering cybersecurity requirements, gap analysis, threat analysis, systems engineering, risk evaluation, and mitigation. We develop or apply MBSE models to support cybersecurity analysis.
