Software Engineer Consultant - Hogan
Salary: $109,000 - 149,000 per year
Requirements:
We require a bachelors degree and 8 years of experience in software application development and maintenance. Alternatively, we accept a high school diploma or GED combined with 12 years of experience in software application development and maintenance. Preferred: advanced experience with Hogan IDS (DDA/TDA), CIS, RPM, or similar deposit or loan platforms. Preferred: advanced experience with customer or account conversion projects. Preferred: advanced proficiency with programming languages such as COBOL, JCL, and EasyTrieve. Preferred: experience with ChangeMan or a comparable code repository system. Preferred: experience with ServiceNow or another IT service ticketing platform. Preferred: strong knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile. Preferred: current contractor or contingent worker for First Citizens Bank.
Responsibilities:
We lead all phases of system conversion projects, from requirements gathering through execution. We analyze data files and formats to determine the best conversion approach. We use specifications to build programs and reports, and we unit test them to confirm the output meets expectations. We provide technical support for systems by resolving complex issues, anticipating maintenance needs, and ensuring functionality for end users. We develop technical solutions for unique system problems and lead major initiatives while delegating work and maintaining quality. We mentor and train associates in the work group and serve as a technical resource for management, peers, and business teams. We participate in special projects and meetings to share critical technical guidance. We advise on strategies that align development efforts with long-term business needs and future technology direction. We support management in implementing division-wide initiatives and strategies.
