Responsibilities
Build and maintain RHEL, CentOS, and Rocky Linux systems using automated PXE and kickstart provisioning. Create templates and manage Linux virtual machines in VMware vSphere through vCenter. Support Dell PowerEdge servers, including iDRAC and firmware updates. Keep systems patched, secure, and consistent across environments. Develop and maintain Ansible roles, playbooks, and inventories to configure systems from initial boot through production. Store infrastructure configuration in Git and use peer review and repeatable deployment practices. Automate routine operational work with Ansible, Bash, and Python. Build and maintain RPM packages for internal software and third-party tools, and manage internal yum/dnf repositories. Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to lint, test, and deploy Ansible code and RPM packages. Collaborate with developers to package, release, and deploy applications on Linux infrastructure. Work with trading, development, network, and security teams on infrastructure requests and projects. Produce clear documentation and runbooks for the systems and automation we build.
