Network Security Engineer

Salary: $125,000 - 195,000 per year
Requirements:
We require an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain clearance eligibility. You should bring either five years of program-specific security engineering experience supporting Navy afloat or tactical combat systems, or ten years of general security engineering experience. We require at least an IAT Level II certification or higher in accordance with DoD 8570.01 or its successor. If you serve as a privileged user, you must achieve and maintain a final adjudicated T-5/T-R with an IT Level-1 designation in JPAS. Privileged users must complete operating system or computer environment training for each version within six months of the start date, with assessment proof provided by the contractor. You should have a solid understanding of cybersecurity, military system specifications, and DoD Information Assurance policies for land-based and afloat or tactical systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. A bachelors degree in cybersecurity is preferred.
Responsibilities:
We develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, and procedural guidance for combat systems. We conduct cybersecurity research, analysis, and coordination in support of DoD cyber assurance and policy initiatives across multiple classification levels. We lead working groups to shape cybersecurity strategies that address emerging threats. We assess cybersecurity, intelligence, and information technology policy gaps affecting combat systems. We carry out cybersecurity systems engineering design, analysis, and documentation for combat systems. We create cyber risk assessments and mitigation plans for combat systems. We produce documentation covering cybersecurity requirements, gap analysis, threat analysis, systems engineering, risk evaluation, and mitigation. We develop or apply MBSE models to support cybersecurity analysis.
