Requirements:
We prefer candidates with availability for day and evening shifts, including weekends. We value basic maintenance experience. We prefer a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Some background in general maintenance, interior and exterior surface preparation, and painting is preferred. Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is an advantage. A valid drivers license is required.
Responsibilities:
We respond to guest repair requests and work directly with guests to resolve maintenance concerns. We carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. We inspect tools, equipment, and machinery visually, and transport required equipment such as tools and radios. We identify and operate shut-off valves and utility shut-offs for equipment and buildings. We maintain maintenance inventory and order parts and supplies when needed. We share daily activities and any issues with the next shift using approved communication standards. We apply basic knowledge across HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building systems. We perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and trim repairs, light bulb replacement, A/C filter changes, and full cleanup after repair work. We troubleshoot and complete basic repairs on plumbing, electrical components, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, switches, outlets, and other guestroom items. We program TVs and handle general housekeeping and engineering inventory duties. We use the Lockout/Tagout system before starting maintenance work. We repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems. We enter air handler schedules and make temperature adjustments using basic computer skills. We follow company, safety, and security procedures, report hazards or incidents, and complete required training and certifications. We maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company assets. We welcome guests, respond to service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and provide courteous service. We build positive working relationships, communicate professionally, and support team goals. We handle physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, moving objects, and working on stairs, ramps, and ladders. We use computers to enter and find work-related information. We complete other reasonable duties as assigned.
