Role type
Senior Software Engineer (C#/.NET & SQL)
Builds
Modern, scalable internal and client-facing products, often greenfield, using current tools and patterns rather than legacy constraints.
Domain
Enterprise software development, cloud infrastructure, and safety technology.
Deliverable

Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand business goals, user needs, and product direction. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support incremental delivery and continuous improvement. Contribute to technical discussions by weighing tradeoffs, asking thoughtful questions, and aligning implementation with intended outcomes. Design, develop, and maintain reliable, secure, high-performing back-end services and APIs using .NET, ASP.NET Core, and C#. Create relational database schemas and write efficient SQL Server queries and data access patterns. Apply clean code practices, secure coding habits, and principles such as SOLID in day-to-day development. Build and maintain modern web UI components when needed using technologies such as React, Vite, and Next.js. Handle end-to-end product concerns including authentication flows, API contracts, error handling, and user experience impacts. Contribute to solution design using modern approaches such as microservices, domain-driven design, event-driven systems, and RESTful services. Participate in design reviews and help keep implementations maintainable and aligned with team standards. Integrate applications with identity and access management providers such as Entra ID or Auth0. Support integrations with enterprise platforms such as LMS, EAM, and HCM systems. Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to reduce defects and regression risk. Develop proof-of-concepts to evaluate new tools and frameworks when appropriate. Build software with operational readiness in mind, including observability, resilience, and secure-by-default practices. Use Docker to standardize and simplify deployments. Apply infrastructure-as-code practices, such as Bicep, to provision Azure resources including App Services, Azure SQL Databases, Storage Accounts, Function Apps, and Key Vaults. Use message brokers such as Azure Service Bus or RabbitMQ for event-driven workflows where appropriate. Follow suitable Git branching strategies and contribute to Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, including quality gates such as linting, static analysis, and build/test automation. Use modern AI tools responsibly to speed up tasks such as scaffolding, refactoring, and test generation while preserving code quality and security. Stay current on AI developments that may improve engineering workflows.
