Controls Deployment Engineer
Salary: $111,300 - 186,100 per year
Requirements:
We require knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical schematics, and standard operating procedures. We require a B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or another related engineering discipline plus 5 years of controls-related experience; an Associates degree plus 7 years of controls-related experience; or a high school diploma plus 10 years of controls-related experience. We prefer experience managing projects in data centers or similar critical infrastructure environments. We prefer experience in data center engineering operations with a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure. We prefer experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings across all disciplines. We prefer an M.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or another related engineering discipline plus 3 years of related experience.
Responsibilities:
We oversee the scope and schedule of BMS and EPMS vendors during AWS data center construction. We develop scopes of work for site improvement initiatives. We manage multiple stakeholder deliverables, requirements, and complex situations. We review controls sequences of operation and provide design feedback. We handle financial oversight of BMS and EPMS construction contracts and support procurement activities such as RFQs, RFI responses, vendor proposal reviews, and purchase order issuance. We conduct detailed reviews of BMS and EPMS submittals. We participate in AWSs global on-call rotation to deliver immediate technical support for in-service data centers. We ensure BMS and EPMS deployments align with the scope of work and specifications. We review and comment on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings. We attend project meetings, coordinate with project leaders, and report status to Controls Management. We work within tight project timelines. We interpret controls drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of material. We understand and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces. We support controls commissioning activities in the field. We frequently visit local under-construction data centers to oversee vendor work and confirm compliance with design requirements, submittals, and applicable electrical codes.
