Embedded Software Engineer
Salary: $87,400 - 132,880 per year
Requirements:
We are looking for experience in software verification and validation, including unit, functional, and system-level testing with both manual and automated approaches. We need hands-on experience with integration, as well as the design and development of embedded software and firmware. We expect strong participation in software design activities. We value excellent debugging capability. We require familiarity with configuration management tools. We need knowledge of complex embedded software architecture and design. We require design knowledge of CAN, I2C, SPI, and RS232 protocols. We are looking for strong programming skills in C and C++ for embedded controllers and processors. We expect experience with GIT, SVN, and JIRA. Nice to have: experience with configuration management tools such as DOORS and Jama, knowledge of emerging technologies, agile project management experience, and DO-178 familiarity.
Responsibilities:
We perform software verification and validation across unit, functional, and system-level requirements using manual and automated testing methods. We design and develop embedded software and firmware for integration efforts. We contribute to software design activities. We troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with strong debugging practices. We work with configuration management tools to support development processes. We collaborate on embedded software architecture and protocol-based designs. We use tools such as GIT, SVN, and JIRA in our workflow. We support Agile project execution and related development activities.
