Hotel Engineer - HVAC and maintenance
Salary: $52,000 - 89,000 per year
Requirements:
High school diploma or G.E.D., preferably with a technical or vocational background Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification required Must fulfill relevant state and federal certification and licensing standards Proficiency in general maintenance, including interior and exterior surface preparation and painting Ability to utilize hand and power tools safely Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems, along with troubleshooting skills Valid Driver’s License necessary
Responsibilities:
Attend to and resolve guest repair requests efficiently Perform preventive maintenance on tools and machinery, including regular cleaning and lubrication Conduct visual inspections of tools and machinery Maintain maintenance inventory and order supplies as necessary Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts effectively Show proficiency in multiple maintenance fields such as refrigeration, plumbing, and carpentry Safely use hand and power tools for repair and maintenance tasks Troubleshoot and conduct basic repairs on various equipment and systems Assist with minor repairs including painting, drywall, and wood trim work Follow safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout during maintenance work Engage in training and mentoring of fellow engineers Execute Engineer on Duty responsibilities including conducting rounds
