SAP Production Planning Business Analyst

Salary: $90,000 - 120,000 per year
Requirements:
We require 3–5+ years of hands-on SAP experience, with a strong focus on Production Planning (PP). We require proven experience supporting Production Planning in a manufacturing setting. We require a solid understanding of ERP systems and their role in manufacturing operations. We strongly prefer experience with Batch Management, which is considered critical for success in this position. We prefer experience supporting SAP implementations, upgrades, or SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives. We value working knowledge of one or more of the following SAP modules: PP, PPDS, EWM, QM, or PP-PI. We require experience gathering business requirements, facilitating workshops, and converting operational needs into technical solutions. We require experience coordinating testing activities, validating system functionality, and supporting user acceptance. We prefer familiarity with MES, LIS, and Jira. We require strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities. We require the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced project environment. We strongly prefer experience in Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment. We prefer a bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, Operations, or a related field. We value experience supporting change management, end-user training, and process improvement initiatives. We prefer understanding of manufacturing best practices, quality systems, and regulated production environments. We highly prefer prior involvement in enterprise ERP transformation programs.
Responsibilities:
We support the implementation and refinement of business processes during a large-scale SAP R/3 to SAP S/4HANA transformation. We partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and IT teams to gather, analyze, document, and prioritize business needs. We translate business and operational needs into clear functional specifications for SAP implementation teams and technical partners. We support Production Planning, Production Execution, Internal Logistics, and Quality processes through SAP solutions. We coordinate and run testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing, to confirm the system meets business requirements. We identify process improvement opportunities and recommend best practices that enhance operational efficiency. We develop and maintain business process documentation, workflow diagrams, testing records, and functional specifications. We train end users on new SAP capabilities and business processes while supporting change management and adoption efforts. We track project activities, deliverables, risks, and issues in project management tools such as Jira. We collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and adoption of SAP-supported business processes. We support integrations between SAP and manufacturing systems such as MES and LIS, when applicable. We assist project leadership with implementation planning, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
