USA💼 Full-time💰 $123,000–$163,000🗓 2026-07-24 → 2026-07-31

Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year
Requirements:
We are looking for senior-level hands-on production experience with Dell EMC Mainframe Enablers (MFE). We need strong practical expertise with Dell EMC GDDR/GDR, ideally GDDR 6.x. We require experience with GDDR configuration, scripts, overrides, restart, and recovery procedures. We expect proven ability to troubleshoot automation failures, including cases where GDDR stops or breaks mid-process. We need solid knowledge of SRDF/S and SRDF/A replication. We require familiarity with AutoSwap, consistency-group operations, and zDP. We expect hands-on use of Symmetrix command-line tools and mainframe storage operations. We need understanding of FICON and Fibre Channel concepts related to EMC mainframe replication. We require experience handling replication drops, failed automation, resynchronization, full-push scenarios, and recovery after script interruption. We need capability in device and consistency-group cleanup or reconditioning. We require experience coordinating array-side conditions with host-side recovery and deciding when replication can safely resume. Experience supporting MFE/GDDR environments on VMAX 950F and/or PowerMax 8500 is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
We will have the engineer provide specialized production support for a large, highly available mainframe storage environment. We expect the engineer to troubleshoot GDDR or MFE automation failures and interrupted automation processes. We will rely on the engineer to diagnose SRDF replication drops and recovery issues in production. The engineer will handle scripts that need backup, restart, bypass, or manual completion. The engineer will clean up or recondition devices and consistency groups when needed. We expect the engineer to restore replication safely after failures or interruptions. The engineer will assess whether conditions are safe to restart or resume replication. The engineer will support Sev 1 and Sev 2 production incidents requiring urgent escalation. During major incidents, the engineer will join live technical bridges with our client, infrastructure, and vendor support teams. The engineer will provide clear recovery recommendations and mainframe-specific guidance based on array-side conditions. The role requires participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation for critical Sev 1/Sev 2 incidents.
