Senior Cloud Engineer - Azure

Salary: $60,000 - 100,000 per year
Requirements:
We bring 10 to 14 years of overall IT experience, including at least 5 years of hands-on Microsoft Azure cloud engineering work. We need strong expertise across Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, container, and serverless services. We expect a minimum of 3 years of production experience with Terraform and Azure Bicep. We require strong scripting and automation capability with PowerShell, Python, and Azure CLI. We look for experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions. We need solid knowledge of Azure security and governance services. We expect practical experience with Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel, Azure Key Vault, RBAC, and Azure Policy. We require expertise in AKS, Azure Container Apps, and Docker. We look for strong experience with hybrid networking technologies such as ExpressRoute, VPN, DNS, and Private Endpoints. We need experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions. We expect strong monitoring experience using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and KQL. We require experience supporting highly available enterprise cloud environments. We need familiarity with financial industry compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, SOX, GLBA, FFIEC, and SOC 2. We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Preferred: Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104). Preferred: Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305). Preferred: experience supporting enterprise financial services or banking environments. Preferred: experience designing secure hybrid cloud architectures. Preferred: experience mentoring engineering teams and driving cloud modernization initiatives.
Responsibilities:
We design, implement, secure, and manage scalable and highly available Microsoft Azure infrastructure. We build and maintain enterprise cloud architectures aligned with Azure best practices. We develop infrastructure as code solutions using Terraform and Azure Bicep. We automate cloud provisioning and administration with PowerShell, Python, and Azure CLI. We design and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions. We support cloud-native and hybrid workloads across development, QA, and production environments. We implement Azure security controls including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel, Key Vault, RBAC, and Azure Policy. We manage identity and access using OAuth, OpenID Connect, and Azure identity services. We deploy and support container platforms including AKS, Azure Container Apps, and Docker. We design and support hybrid networking with ExpressRoute, VPN, Private Endpoints, and DNS. We implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies to meet RPO and RTO targets. We monitor infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and KQL. We troubleshoot infrastructure, performance, availability, and security issues. We support incident response, root cause analysis, and infrastructure optimization efforts. We create technical documentation, cloud standards, and operational procedures. We mentor junior cloud engineers and promote cloud engineering best practices.
