Software Engineer - Huntsville
Salary: $229,000 - 269,000 per year
Requirements:
We require a bachelors degree in software engineering, a closely related field, or equivalent experience and combined education, along with 2 years of professional experience. We need proven experience developing Java-based applications in a UNIX/Linux environment. We look for demonstrated experience working in a structured, process-driven integrated team setting. We expect experience using configuration management tools in software development, such as Git or GitLab. We require familiarity with standard systems engineering design artifacts, including system requirements, use cases, and SysML diagrams. We may require Security+ or an equivalent certification within 60 days of start date. We require current active DoD Final Secret Security Clearance. We require U.S. citizenship for consideration, due to the security clearance requirement.
Responsibilities:
We design and build new Java applications and maintain existing ones. We support software testing and resolve issues across multiple baselines. We perform detailed analysis and technical support for systems software products, including complex problem resolution. We work from system specifications to develop or adapt operating system applications. We assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and program documentation. We collaborate with other systems support groups. We produce software design artifacts and participate in design and code reviews.
