Product Security Engineer - North Charleston
Salary: $128,350 - 173,650 per year
Requirements:
We require a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or an equivalent non-U.S. qualification closely aligned to the role We need at least 5 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, electrical engineering, certification, or product security We expect experience coordinating and presenting technical material to both technical and non-technical audiences We require a solid understanding of airplane systems and networks Preferred experience includes cybersecurity, security network architecture, embedded systems security, security testing and evaluation, and network design Familiarity with DO-326B, DO-356A, and DO-355 is preferred Technical leadership capability with a positive, inquisitive mindset is preferred One or more security certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, CCNA, UNIX/Linux System Administration, GIAC GPEN, GWAPT, GXPN, OSCE, or OSCP is preferred We require candidates to meet our conflict of interest assessment process We require U.S. Person status for export control compliance A bachelors degree or equivalent is required We do not sponsor employment visas
Responsibilities:
We assess risks, threats, and vulnerabilities in product assets and production systems to maintain security design integrity, availability, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance We develop security requirements and work across stakeholder groups to align system needs We create technical data and documentation for internal use and external delivery in line with our engineering processes We coordinate with penetration testers to confirm coverage and understand analysis impacts We review certification artifacts with the FAA and engineering unit members We develop practical and innovative technical solutions while considering the impact of decisions both individually and as part of a team We lead or support the development, implementation, and communication of sustainment activities that preserve the security, safety, and resiliency of digitally connected in-service airplanes We manage configuration control and protect the data, networks, and resources needed to sustain security and resiliency for in-service models
