Technical Lead / Software Architect

Salary: $115,000 - 120,000 per year
Requirements:
We require 12+ years of hands-on experience with .NET 6.0 and above, C#.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, MVC 4+, and .NET Framework 4.0+ We require 12+ years of experience with JavaScript, XML, XML Schema, XSLT, SQL, and jQuery We expect daily, active use of AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar as part of the core development workflow We require experience with software design patterns and business-layer development using Web Services, including Web APIs and WCF We expect proven full-stack capability across .NET Core/C# backend services and Blazor WebAssembly or similar component-based UI frameworks We require experience creating unit tests and delivering high-quality implementations with minimal first-pass defects We require strong experience reviewing code, enforcing coding standards, and understanding integration touchpoints across related systems We require knowledge of COM component integration as interop assemblies within .NET web applications We require experience resolving production client issues and recommending preventative measures We require strong SQL Server skills, including SSMS, Profiler or Toad, stored procedures, views, triggers, functions, and performance tuning We require experience using TFS for work items and repository management We require familiarity with build and release planning, work-item prioritization, and the software development lifecycle We require experience with ORM tools, preferably NHibernate or Entity Framework We require experience working in a Windows OS environment We require knowledge of RESTful API design, OpenAPI specification, API versioning, and service-to-service authentication We require experience developing web and Windows applications using .NET, MVC, and SQL across multiple projects We require understanding of Agile and Scrum delivery practices We require strong analytical and problem-solving ability We require demonstrated ability to read, understand, and extend legacy .NET codebases in production We require the ability to delegate work effectively and grow toward independent architectural ownership We require excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with geographically distributed teams We prefer experience in Telecom OSS/BSS, relevant Microsoft certification, and exposure to other database technologies such as MySQL We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred; an associate degree may be considered with equivalent experience
Responsibilities:
We provide technical leadership for Telecom BSS/OSS software product development We guide architectural decisions, engineering standards, and best practices across the team We design, propose, and develop solutions using the right technology architecture and framework We turn technical challenges into proof-of-concepts and secure stakeholder sign-off We maintain the technology roadmap and drive innovation and intellectual property creation for our products We lead by example in AI-augmented development and coach teammates on effective use of these tools We contribute input to the software roadmap We act as an escalation point for internal and client issues, identifying practical solutions and taking action We conduct code reviews and document architectural decisions, standards, and guidelines We lead research, analysis, testing, and quality assurance activities, including new integration test scenarios We translate functional requirements into actionable work items and help break work into manageable chunks We support performance tuning, troubleshooting, and error handling We stay current with emerging technologies through self-study and training opportunities We manage technical acceptance criteria and related development artifacts We oversee changes across multiple projects and codebases We work closely with development and QA teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions We mentor and guide experienced software engineers in making technical decisions that improve quality and long-term maintainability We collaborate with stakeholders across business units to define requirements, prepare statements of work, and estimate effort We ensure the integrity and successful delivery of software products and projects We deepen our Telecom BSS/OSS domain knowledge and look for ways to improve scalability, maintainability, and performance We support the growth path toward Software Architect through increasing technical ownership and design leadership
