Responsibilities
Design, configure, deploy, and support Cisco Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching infrastructure; Manage switching fabric designs (leaf-spine, core/distribution/access); Configure VLANs, trunking, inter-VLAN routing, SVIs, routed ports, and multilayer switching; Deploy and troubleshoot OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP routing protocols; Implement Spanning Tree, VPC, port channels, and LACP/PAgP configurations; Support VXLAN/EVPN overlay fabrics; Install, validate, and troubleshoot fiber optic transceivers; Work with security teams on firewall interface connectivity and network segmentation; Carry out capacity planning, performance monitoring, and documentation; Provide Tier 2/3 escalation support; Participate in change management, maintenance windows, and on-call rotation
