Systems Engineer - CSIL Verification
Salary: $112,200 - 185,150 per year
Requirements:
We require a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. We require at least 4 years of related engineering experience. For our Lead level opportunity, we prefer 7 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent blend of education and experience. We require an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance, with U.S. citizenship required; a clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active. We require U.S. export control eligibility as a U.S. Person. We do not provide visa sponsorship for this role. We require successful completion of our Conflict of Interest assessment process. We require the ability to meet drug-free workplace testing requirements when applicable. We require willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and/or internationally, depending on business needs. We offer relocation based on candidate eligibility. We are hiring for Experienced and Lead System Engineer levels (Levels 3 and 4).
Responsibilities:
We work across functions to identify the right artifacts that demonstrate compliance with airworthiness and safety standards. We brief customers and Boeing leadership on our compliance approach and progress. We partner directly with suppliers to advance compliance efforts. We perform balanced risk assessments when full compliance is not yet achieved. We apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify balanced system-of-systems and system solutions across the lifecycle. We evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and ensure compatibility across physical, functional, and program interfaces. We conduct analyses to optimize overall system architecture and system-of-systems performance. We assess factors such as affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, security, regulatory compliance, certification, and product assurance to support mission success. We develop and manage requirements processes, tools, risk and issue tracking, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessments. We resolve cross-functional technical issues in support of the programs airworthiness and CSIL verification activities.
