<h2><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h2>
<h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripe’s engineering teams using Java, Ruby, Scala, and Go</li>
<li>Build software infrastructure, including developing, testing, and deploying it</li>
<li>Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design</li>
<li>Engineer payments integration with various financial partners software systems</li>
<li>Design APIs and underlying data models to support complex financial abstractions and multi-party integrations, enabling flexible billing and settlement configurations across international markets</li>
<li>Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation</li>
<li>Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack</li>
<li>Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints</li>
<li>Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale</li>
<li>Build new systems to securely store sensitive data; Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes</li>
<li>Integrate observability tools and alerting mechanisms (Datadog, Prometheus) into high-traffic production systems, defining SLAs and real-time diagnostics to meet the reliability standards required by financial partners</li>
<li>Mentor junior engineers, lead technical design reviews, and establish best practices in code quality, system design, resilience engineering, and deployment strategies across the billing infrastructure group</li>

<h2><strong>Who you are</strong></h2>
<h3><strong>Minimum requirements</strong></h3>
<p>Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, plus 2 years of Software development experience.</p>
<p>Position also requires the following:</p>
<ul>
<li>2 years of experience working with Java, Scala, Python and AWS</li>
<li>2 years of experience implementing industry standard design patterns</li>
<li>2 years of software engineering experience building full-stack web applications at scale</li>
<li>2 years of experience with database management</li>
<li>2 years of experience using SQL and related query languages to perform data analysis</li>
</ul>
<p>Salary: $156,800 – $235,200/yr.</p>
<p>This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions / sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.</p>
<p>40 hrs/week</p>
<p>50% Telecommuting Permitted.</p>
