Job Summary:
The candidate will work on a project aimed at understanding the effects of global change (habitat disturbance, heavy metal pollution, emerging pathogens) on the health, life history and behaviour of Amazonian phytotem-breeding frogs.
Main Research Field:
Behavioural and evolutionary ecology/ global change biology
Responsibilities:
• Intensive fieldwork for 2–3 months under simple living conditions in a remote area of French Guiana as part of a postgraduate scientific research project.
• Sampling, preparation of samples for heavy metal quantification.
• Swabbing tadpoles and adults for further quantification of Bd loads.
• Colour pattern analyses.
• Lab work, analysis and coordination (DNA extraction, quantification of pathogen loads using ddPCR).
• Assistance with the teaching and administrative duties of the Konrad Lorenz Institute.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education Level: Master Degree or equivalent
Research Field: Medical sciences » Veterinary medicine
