Responsibilities
Lead daily software development team operations including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Define software tasking and delivery schedules with the Director of Software Development. Translate business and product needs into technical requirements and actionable sprint deliverables. Champion Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) as the primary way of working. Coordinate delivery and integration of fleet manager software with external development partners. Implement CI/CD and software test best practices including End-to-End testing with QA/DevOps. Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and architectural standards. Ensure seamless integration between cloud services, telematics data, and edge/embedded devices. Create and maintain technical documentation for software designs, algorithms, and test procedures. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in embedded software development. Drive continuous improvement of software development processes, tools, and Agile practices. Manage employee performance, conduct one-on-one meetings, and support annual performance reviews and succession planning. Review and approve employee timesheets, sick time, and PTO requests.
