Offer Description:
Profile: PhD, Master's degree, and Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. At least five years of experience at a research or technological center after completing the PhD.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conducting life cycle assessment and environmental sustainability studies related to new processes for the recovery of secondary raw materials.
- Modeling chemical and metallurgical processes for the industrial recovery of waste materials.
- Carrying out communication and engagement activities to promote the circular economy and industrial symbiosis.
- Attending meetings and preparing project deliverables and reports.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education Level: PhD or equivalent in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
Experience: At least five years of experience at a research or technological center after completing the PhD.
Evaluation Criteria:
Section 1: Academic Qualifications (up to 30 points)
- Official Master's degrees or university-specific postgraduate qualifications in Science/Engineering: 0.1 points per completed credit (up to 10 points)
- PhD in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering: 15 points
- Specialization Diploma in Research on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency: 2 points
- English language proficiency: B2 (2 points), C1 (5 points), C2 (7 points)
Section 2: Scientific Publications (up to 35 points)
- For each article published in an indexed journal on the relationship between thermodynamics and the circular economy: 5 points/article
- For each article published in an indexed journal on resource-use efficiency: 5 points/article
- For each participation in national or international conferences with publications on the circular economy and/or resource-use efficiency: 0.5 points/participation
- For each participation in the development of standards related to sustainability measurement: 10 points/participation
Section 3: Participation in R&D&I Projects (up to 30 points)
- For each part-time or full-time participation in public or private research projects related to the circular economy and resource-use efficiency: 5 points/project (Minimum project duration: 2 years)
Section 4: Supervision of Final Projects and Theses (up to 10 points)
- For each supervision or co-supervision of a PhD thesis, Bachelor's Final Project (TFG), or Master's Final Project (TFM) (official degree or university-specific qualification) on sustainability and circularity assessment of processes: 2 points/supervised project
