Role Overview:
The Area Leader role involves preparing grant applications for funding within research projects, both nationally and internationally. The candidate will participate in research and development activities of the Ceramics Research Group and the entire Ł-ICiMB. They will maintain documentation related to research and development work, comply with quality policy and principles of impartiality, independence, objectivity, and confidentiality, perform auxiliary tasks assigned by a supervisor, and continuously develop theoretical and practical knowledge relevant to their duties. The position offers opportunities for professional qualification enhancement and scientific development.

Responsibilities:
- Preparation of grant applications for funding within research projects.
- Participation in research and development activities of the Ceramics Research Group and the entire Ł-ICiMB.
- Maintaining documentation related to research and development work.
- Compliance with quality policy and principles of impartiality, independence, objectivity, and confidentiality.
- Performing auxiliary tasks assigned by a supervisor related to the operation of the Ceramics Research Group.
- Continuous development of theoretical and practical knowledge relevant to assigned duties.
- Enhancing professional qualifications and scientific development.

Requirements:
- Higher education, at least a doctoral degree (preferred scientific disciplines: materials engineering, civil engineering, geodesy and transport, environmental engineering, chemical engineering).
- At least 20 years of experience in the research and development sector, including independent management of research projects funded from national and international sources.
- Publication record based on journals with an Impact Factor (IF), with an expected Hirsch index of at least 10.
- Computer skills: MS Office.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Fluent command of the Polish language, both spoken and written.
- Knowledge of English or another modern foreign language at the B2–C1 level.
- At least four of the following criteria: organization or co-organization of at least one international scientific or industry conference, authorship or co-authorship of scientific publications (minimum of 4 scored publications, including at least one in the TOP 10% of SCOPUS-ranked journals), participation in at least four research and development projects as an active team member, experience in leading a research team in at least one national or international project, experience in implementation activities or cooperation with the business sector in the commercialization of research results, award of a national or international scientific scholarship, at least two awards or distinctions for scientific or research work, membership in at least two national or international scientific organizations, experience in mentoring or delivering specialized training for students, doctoral candidates, or other members of research teams.
- Desirable: Experience of working in a laboratory compliant with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 quality system. Knowledge of operating basic laboratory equipment.

Qualifications:
- PhD or equivalent.
- At least 20 years of experience in the research and development sector.
- Publication record with an expected Hirsch index of at least 10.
- At least four of the specified criteria.
- Fluency in Polish and knowledge of English or another modern foreign language at the B2–C1 level.
