Lecturer in Health Sciences (Digital Health)
Role Overview
The Lecturer (Teaching Specialist) will contribute to excellence in teaching and learning across the topics in the College of Health and Enablement, specifically with a focus on the area of Digital Health. The incumbent will be responsible for making an independent contribution to teaching and the scholarship of teaching using innovations in practices and technologies to deliver excellence in teaching. The role will contribute to the planning and evaluation of these topics, undertaking the role of Topic Coordinator as required.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to excellence in teaching and learning across topics in the College of Health and Enablement, with a specific focus on Digital Health.
* Make an independent contribution to teaching and the scholarship of teaching using innovations in practices and technologies.
* Contribute to the planning and evaluation of topics.
* Undertake the role of Topic Coordinator as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Experienced and reflective tertiary educator with a strong commitment to teaching excellence, student success, and professional practice.
* Hold and maintain current membership with a relevant professional association.
* Substantial experience in higher education teaching and learning environments.
* Demonstrated success in the design, delivery, and evaluation of innovative teaching and learning strategies, including contemporary approaches to student assessment that enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
* Practice informed by reflection, continuous improvement, and a clear understanding of the relationship between teaching, research, scholarship, and professional practice.
* Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, students, and industry stakeholders.
* Thrive in collaborative environments and contribute positively to academic communities through professionalism, initiative, and a student-centred approach to education.
* Completed a PhD or EdD or equivalent qualification in a digital health related field.
