Role Overview:
Applications are open for two three-year doctoral positions starting September 2026. We are looking for applicants with some background in one or more of the following areas: smooth ergodic theory, homogeneous dynamics and number theory, representation theory, low dimensional geometry, Teichmüller dynamics. The selected candidate will join Giovanni Forni's research group at Cergy Paris University, working on topics related to the ERC project. Applications should be sent to the PI at giovanni.forni@cyu.edu or gforni@umd.edu (subject: ‘BRen doc’) preferably by June 30th, 2026. Interviews of the short-listed applicants will be conducted between July 1st and July 15th, 2026. Applications from underrepresented groups are particularly encouraged.
