Responsibilities
Provide leadership to direct reports and set expectations for workmanship and safety. Supervise and coordinate maintenance technicians, tradespeople, and contractors. Oversee maintenance, repair, and presentation of Council buildings and facilities. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards. Coordinate and prioritize maintenance works, repairs, upgrades, and capital projects. Support asset management planning and preventative maintenance programs. Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards. Plan and allocate resources, develop work schedules, and oversee daily operations. Assist with budget preparation, monitoring, and asset record management. Respond to service requests and community enquiries. Participate in after-hours on-call rosters for urgent matters. Report workplace incidents and hazards in accordance with safety procedures.
