Provide forward-looking legal advice on technology matters including software development and AI initiatives; Embed with product and engineering teams to review new features ensuring privacy-by-design and AI-safety-by-design; Lead development of company policies on AI use, governance, data privacy, and open-source licensing; Monitor and interpret emerging technology laws and regulations globally with focus on AI and data privacy; Identify and mitigate legal and ethical risks related to technology projects; Draft, review, and negotiate high-stakes technology agreements including vendor contracts and AI model provider agreements; Advise on protection and enforcement of intellectual property including patents and trade secrets; Partner with IT, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure data workflows comply with privacy and security standards; Act as trusted advisor to senior leadership across multiple business units; Develop and deliver training to employees on legal topics including responsible AI usage and data privacy
