Review and prepare surgical plans and patient history preoperatively; Prepare surgical field and assist in patient positioning and prepping; Ensure availability and sterility of surgical instruments and supplies; Assist in draping the surgical site; Provide exposure of operative site using retractors and tools intraoperatively; Control bleeding by clamping, ligating, or cauterizing blood vessels; Handle tissues, cut sutures, and perform wound closure; Suction, irrigate, or sponge operative site as needed; Monitor patient vital signs under surgeon or anesthesiologist direction; Apply surgical dressings and assist patient transfer to recovery postoperatively; Document operative procedures and observations accurately; Participate in postoperative patient assessments and wound care
