Technical Lead – Full-Stack Wireless Software (G11)

Meet the Team 

The Cisco Wireless Feature & System Engineering team builds end-to-end wireless capabilities across access points, controllers, and cloud-managed platforms. We design features that span device software, control planes, and management systems to deliver seamless, secure, and high-performance enterprise Wi-Fi.

Your Impact 

As a Technical Lead, you will drive architecture and technical direction for wireless features across AP, controller, and management systems, with full ownership of development and validation strategies.

 In this role:

• Define architecture for end-to-end wireless systems and features
• Lead development and test strategy for complex features
• Drive system-level design across device, network, and management layers
• Guide debugging of cross-layer issues
• Establish best practices for development, testing, and automation
• Mentor engineers and influence technical direction
• Drive adoption of AI-enabled development and testing workflows

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in wireless or networking systems
• Deep expertise in 802.11 and enterprise wireless architectures
• Strong understanding of development + testing + system validation
• Experience with wireless security (WPA3, 802.1X)
• Strong system design and cross-team leadership skills

 Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:
• Mesh networking and topology optimization
• Spectrum analysis and RF management
• Wireless scheduling and airtime fairness
• Location services / analytics

• Familiarity with PQC concepts in security systems
