Responsibilities
Start up molds that have been set by the Molding Technician, developing or modifying process parameters as needed; Process mold to produce samples for First Piece Inspection, performing advanced troubleshooting as needed for dimensional or visual issues; Identify improvements to molding process for cavitation, cycle time and parts containment and implement while maintaining quality standards; Pull and set molds as needed for production requirements; Troubleshoot molding processes and make adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency; Assist/Train Process Technician I in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of molding defects, as needed; Able to identify tooling issues and submit detailed work order to tool room for repair; Able to identify injection molding machine or auxiliary equipment issues and submit detailed work order to maintenance department for repair; Provide and implement ideas to improve the efficiency of the molding department; Communicate problems, needs and important information to supervisor; Practice good housekeeping and appropriate measures to prevent pollution or other negative impacts on the environment; Performs all documentation as needed; Other duties as assigned
