Reliability Engineer
Core
Design, develop, and implement corporate preventative and predictive maintenance systems to analyze production losses and prioritize root cause analysis for critical equipment.
Role type
Reliability Engineer (Process Manufacturing)
Builds
Predictive and Preventative Maintenance Strategies and Reliability Best Practices
Domain
Roofing materials manufacturing / Industrial equipment maintenance
Required skills
Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Mode and Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), Preventative Maintenance (PM), CMMS management, Condition monitoring (vibration analysis, ultrasonic lube), Spare parts optimization, Electrical/Mechanical system evaluation
Preferred skills
IBM Maximo proficiency, AutoCAD, IEEE/NEMA/National Electric Code standards knowledge, Plant planning and scheduling, Shutdown procedures, High-speed manufacturing equipment experience, Precision installation tools (Laser alignment, sonic belt tensioners)
Technologies
IBM Maximo, MS Excel, AutoCAD
Responsibilities
Collaborate to design, develop, and implement corporate preventative and predictive maintenance systems using IBM Maximo; Implement and optimize cost-justified Predictive and Preventative Maintenance Strategies and Reliability Best Practices at the plant; Analyze production losses due to downtime, rate reduction, and waste of critical equipment to prioritize Root Cause Analysis efforts; Review downtime data to identify trends and recurring failures, aiding in root cause identification; Facilitate RCM, using FMECA's to assess criticality ranking of existing failure modes, identify and design out the root causes of defects and develop predictive and preventive strategies to reduce impact or detect defects early enough to correct before an unplanned failure; Assess and optimize the spare parts required to support the critical PM tasks developed from RCM; Evaluate and justify new technologies or inspection procedures to replace current instrumentation controls, sensors, drives, and other electrical components and inspection strategies.
Seniority
Mid-Senior, hands-on IC
