Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain batch storage, delivery, weighing, and mixing; Coordinate with Quality Control and raw material carriers; Evaluate batch plant control system data and make adjustments; Monitor and control furnace and forehearth operations; Adjust critical process variables (gas firing, temperature, flow rates, etc.); Inspect furnace and forehearths; Assist with furnace changes, upsets, start-ups, shutdowns, and repairs; Guide maintenance personnel during repairs; Perform minor repairs and process adjustments; Maintain housekeeping in assigned areas.
