Lead the entire design cycle including trade studies, conceptual and detailed design, structural analysis, development testing, and qualification; Define deployment architecture and validation strategy; Perform hands-on prototyping for passive actuation, motors, controls, and instrumentation; Perform analysis for kinematic, motor/spring/gear sizing, tolerance stacks, and structural performance; Lead and guide engineers designing deployment mechanism sub-components; Own interfaces with solar power module, photovoltaic assembly, and harness subsystems; Drive DFM/DFA and producibility; Generate component and assembly drawings with GD&T; Perform flight hardware testing (TVAC, modal, vibration, functional deployment); Own the deployer-level risk register and DFMEA; Mentor junior engineers
