Responsibilities
Create and maintain parts lists and manufacture gate actions based on hardware need dates; establish engineering and sourcing rhythms to monitor daily work; identify plan pressures from line of balance meetings to prevent delays; coordinate communication between Engineering and suppliers to align processes and minimize waste; support Concurrent Product Development (CPD) decisions and long lead item identification; propose improvements to reduce manufacturing cycle time; enable seamless communication between Sourcing and Engineering to eliminate supplier compliance risks; establish operational rhythm to track production status and input to daily design management; provide operational leadership for engine/component programs; translate program requirements into integrated manufacturing plans including capacity and investment needs; lead cross-functional Program Operations reviews with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, Materials, and Engineering; coordinate and monitor rate readiness, NPI industrialization, and configuration changes across factories; partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Design Engineering to ensure process and supplier capability readiness; drive standard work and visual management for program execution; monitor SQDC performance and lead structured problem-solving for chronic issues; participate in program, technical, and financial reviews; remain current in operations and program management practices for NPI and cost-out opportunities; define manufacturing strategy and roadmap including footprint and automation; deploy lean tools and behaviors with FLIGHT DECK leaders; document program risks and technical data; define program plans and milestones for procurement and production; provide technical direction for the RISE program engine concept; provide manufacturing consultation on practices, standards, and cost predictions; participate in cross-functional meetings to define requirements and standards for new designs; work with Design and Systems Engineering to formulate technical solutions aligning with business objectives.
