Responsibilities
Ensures execution of overhead/underground construction duties including placing hard-line cables and operating construction vehicles; Investigates and monitors project records including start dates, milestones, production logs, material costs, and labor expenditures; Instructs work site safety standards and conducts site visits to ensure compliance; Ensures resources (vehicles, equipment, inventory) are maintained in proper working order; Supports leadership with project coordination; Generates logs and reports on construction, projects, materials, and expenditures; Reviews and resolves customer requests and complaints; Monitors performance of construction crew to established goals; Advises, trains, and guides technicians; Assists with annual plant construction budget; Performs field ride-outs for surveying, progress monitoring, and post-construction review; Coordinates all phases of construction projects including pre-construction meetings, site surveys, permits, design, material procurement, and plant activation; Oversees activity of subcontractors; Meets with Government/Town officials, Utilities, Contractors, and internal business partners; Provides technical advice and engineering support to other departments; Develops cost estimates and monitors job costs.
