Responsibilities
Develop and optimize rate production processes and assembly workflows from prototype to low-volume production; Design and implement production system tools including material flow diagrams, value stream maps, and floor layouts; Collaborate with Hardware Engineering to provide DFM/DFA input; Design, fabricate, and validate custom fixtures, tools, and jigs for mechanical assembly; Define assembly sequences, work instructions, and process documentation; Support prototype builds hands-on, troubleshooting assembly issues and driving corrective actions; Implement process controls and inspection/test processes including FAI; Collaborate with Supply Chain to align external fabrication with internal requirements; Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma; Drive tooling and equipment validation and qualification.
