Responsibilities
Coordinate with supervisors to support electrical power generation operations and maintenance activities. Provide technical oversight for inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of power plant instrumentation, control systems, generators, switchgear, and fuel systems. Perform and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure control systems operate within established parameters. Serve as the SME for control and instrumentation systems, coordinating directly with equipment manufacturers on upgrades and problem resolution. Review new equipment installations for compatibility and coordinate contractor activities during checkout and commissioning. Monitor system performance, identify operational risks, and implement corrective actions. Lead and mentor power plant personnel; ensure proper documentation and logs are maintained. Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and environmental standards. Coordinate with engineering, logistics, and procurement teams to maintain control drawings and spare parts inventories. Participate in standby/on-call rotations to support 24/7 operations.
