Responsibilities
Support/Own design activities for networking racks including structural, thermal, and cable management aspects; Work on prototyping activities and coordinate testing for structural integrity, airflow, and thermal performance; Generate alternate rack mounting solutions and Design optimization to ensure that the designed racks meet the global standards such as UL/IEC/ISO; Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain engineers to simplify designs and improve manufacturability; Specify purchased part requirements and work with Supply team to source parts for use in designs; Design test specifications and protocols, coordinate testing in laboratory facility and help review test reports; Direct outside test activities such as regulatory or other third party testing.
