Monitor compliance with environmental permits, German and EU environmental legislation, and project environmental requirements; Conduct routine environmental and HSE inspections, identifying risks, non-conformities, and opportunities for continuous improvement; Review contractor environmental management plans, risk assessments, and implementation of mitigation measures across construction activities; Investigate environmental incidents, spills, complaints, and near misses, supporting root cause analysis and corrective action implementation; Monitor environmental performance across areas including waste management, pollution prevention, biodiversity, water quality, air emissions, dust, vibration, and soil protection; Maintain environmental compliance registers, inspection reports, audit records, monitoring programmes, and weekly environmental performance reporting; Support the HSSE Manager in promoting environmental awareness, contractor assurance, and compliance across the project.
