Responsibilities
Create layouts, functional component specifications, stack-up evaluations, and assembly procedures; Interpret customer engineering specifications to produce layout, detail, and assembly designs; Develop conceptual design requirements and layouts following DPM protocols; Create detail, fabrication, and assembly drawings; Modify and create 3D models and drawings to manufacturing standards; Support manufacturing through design-for-manufacture principles; Create Bills of Materials (BOMs); Participate in design verification activities; Support Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Prototype Verification Test (PVT) procedures; Ensure design documentation is accurately archived; Identify opportunities to improve existing products, processes, and procedures.
