Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, test, and maintain electrical equipment and controls for the AESCE inverter fleet; Coordinate with reliability and performance engineers on improvement technologies; Monitor new technology innovations in inverter technology and safety systems; Perform technical and operational due diligence and develop O&M cost assumptions for new inverter opportunities; Lead technical projects to enhance asset performance and operations; Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for ad hoc and chronic incidents; Develop Recovery Plans based on RCA findings; Implement Asset Management Standards (AMS); Develop Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures based on OEM manuals; Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training for O&M teams; Lead optimization efforts using AES APEX & Lean Six Sigma approaches; Develop strategy for older assets regarding design updates; Evaluate proposed settings changes for grid interconnection, performance, and safety implications; Recommend equipment updates or replacements for repowering PV sites at end of life.
