Responsibilities
Serve as primary client-facing point of accountability for DevOps and platform delivery; Lead client and stakeholder conversations on platform scope, sequencing, dependencies, risk, and delivery expectations; Translate client business and operational requirements into clear, sequenced DevOps delivery plans; Set and manage delivery expectations proactively; Run delivery status reviews, readiness checkpoints, and go-live coordination; Negotiate and sequence platform work around client change-control constraints; Own resolution of delivery escalations; Represent the DevOps team at project kickoff, design review, commissioning, and startup milestones; Coordinate hand-off to Day-2 operations; Act as single point of intake for the DevOps team; Own intake, triage, and prioritization of the DevOps backlog; Insulate the team from one-off pulls; Run the team's delivery cadence (fourteen-day sprints); Maintain visibility into each engineer's current load and commitments; Track and report delivery metrics; Partner with Project Managers and Engineering Managers; Surface prioritization conflicts and trade-offs; Continuously improve delivery processes; Partner with the DevOps Engineering Manager on capacity forecasting; Support business development through scoping and estimating; Own change order identification and commercial impact; Track engagement financial health; Maintain sufficient technical depth in Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, containerized industrial platforms, and on-premises infrastructure; Partner with the Principal DevOps Engineer on architecture decisions.
