Responsibilities
Design and engineer chemical distribution and dosing systems for UPW and industrial wastewater applications; Develop and maintain P&IDs, process flow diagrams, equipment layouts, and supporting calculations; Size and specify pumps, tanks, piping, valves, instrumentation, and dosing systems; Ensure systems meet performance requirements, safety standards, customer specifications, and regulatory compliance; Partner with equipment vendors to evaluate, select, and procure system components; Review vendor submittals, drawings, and technical proposals for compliance with specifications; Lead technical discussions and resolve design and performance gaps; Perform mass balance calculations, chemical dosing calculations, and system modeling; Optimize chemical usage, dosing accuracy, and system efficiency; Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives; Support capital projects from concept through commissioning and startup; Collaborate with engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure successful installation and handoff; Develop and review commissioning plans and operational procedures; Conduct hazard analyses such as HAZOP and FMEA as required; Perform source inspections at vendor sites to verify systems meet requirements
