Responsibilities
Inspect, repair, and maintain plant equipment including electric motors, engines, pumps, boilers, air compressors, emergency systems, power generation systems, chillers, cranes, and power transmission systems; Construct, repair, and maintain facilities and grounds; Perform welding, masonry, carpentry, minor machining, and plumbing duties; Use test equipment and make operating adjustments to mechanical equipment; Check and add oil to gearboxes, pumps, and engines, grease bearings, and perform preventive maintenance; Inspect, repair, and maintain all mobile equipment including forklifts, elevated work platforms, carts, and tractors; Check for proper gear mesh and alignment of machinery; Make visual inspections of plant operations to locate and correct operational problems; Requisition parts and supplies and assist in maintaining spare parts inventory; Maintain records and prepare reports on equipment operation; Supply and maintain hand tools needed for maintenance function; Maintain communications with production, engineering, and other maintenance personnel; Observe all EHS rules and procedures; Maintain an orderly and clean work area.
