We are seeking an experienced L4 Technical Lead / Cross-Domain Architect to provide senior technical leadership across the entire infrastructure landscape. Acting as the principal technical authority, this role governs cross-domain architecture, validates complex design decisions, mentors engineering teams, and supports critical escalations. The successful candidate will ensure that compute, network, storage, security, and cloud platform solutions remain integrated, resilient, scalable, and operationally supportable.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical leadership and architectural governance across infrastructure, cloud, security, networking, storage, and compute domains.
• Define and maintain enterprise design patterns, architecture standards, and operational best practices.
• Review and validate cross-domain technical decisions, ensuring alignment with business, security, and operational requirements.
• Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues, major incidents, and strategic infrastructure initiatives.
• Mentor and guide L2 and L3 engineering teams, promoting knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
• Ensure infrastructure architectures are secure, resilient, scalable, and operationally sustainable.
• Collaborate with operational, engineering, and customer stakeholders to drive consistent technical direction.
• Support governance forums, service reviews, architecture boards, and technical strategy discussions.
• Maintain architecture documentation, standards, roadmaps, and technical governance frameworks.
Required Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture and technical leadership roles.
• Broad expertise across multiple technology domains, including networking, security, compute, storage, virtualization, cloud, and container platforms.
• Strong understanding of architecture governance, service operations, resilience, high availability, and lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and resolve complex infrastructure challenges.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
• Experience operating in large-scale, mission-critical enterprise environments.
Preferred Certifications:
• TOGAF® or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification
• ITIL® 4 Managing Professional and/or ITIL® 4 Strategic Leader
• Expert-level domain certifications such as:
• Cisco CCIE (Enterprise Infrastructure or Data Center)
• CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist)
• Fortinet FCX / FCSS
• F5 Certified Solution Expert (F5-CSE)
• NetApp NCIE
• Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)
• Additional Security, Network, Storage, or Compute infrastructure certifications are advantageous
Language Requirement:
• German language proficiency at minimum B2 level is mandatory.
• The role requires the ability to participate in technical discussions, architecture reviews, incident coordination, governance forums, service reviews, change management activities, and day-to-day communication with German-speaking stakeholders, customer teams, operational contacts, and site personnel.
Citizenship Requirement:
• Applicants must hold Swiss citizenship.

• Candidates should be based in, or regularly available within the Winterthur region to support local operational alignment, customer engagement, coordination with onsite and remote-hands teams, and participation in governance, escalation, architecture, and service review meetings as required.
