Responsibilities
Set up CNC mills and lathes by loading programs and setting zero reference points; Install and adjust workholding devices such as chucks, collets, vises, and fixtures; Load and change cutting tools and offset them in the CNC machine; Use precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions; Read and interpret blueprints and shop travelers; Verify machine setup by inspecting first-article and in-process parts; Monitor machine operation during production runs; Perform basic machine care and routine checks; Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
