Responsibilities
Develop and maintain material requirements plans using ERP/MRP systems; Monitor material availability, shortages, supplier deliveries, and planning exceptions; Manage planning parameters including lead times, safety stock, reorder points, lot sizes, and minimum order quantities; Work with suppliers and Procurement to resolve shortages, late deliveries, and supply constraints; Analyze and optimize inventory levels to reduce excess and obsolete inventory while maintaining production continuity; Coordinate material planning activities related to Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), BOM changes, and product transitions; Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Customer Service to resolve material issues; Monitor supplier performance and proactively identify and mitigate supply risks; Develop and analyze planning KPIs, inventory reports, and supplier performance metrics; Support Lean, PPI, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
