Responsibilities
Provide counseling and individualized instruction to persons who are blind or severely visually impaired; Interpret and analyze consumers' physical, mental, social, and economic conditions to determine eligibility; Develop individualized rehabilitation/independent living plans with consumers; Consult with physicians and other medical personnel; Educate civic groups and rehabilitation professionals on the needs of the blind or visually impaired; Conduct assessments and document consumers' progress; Manage a caseload and maintain records.
