Assist in underwriting commercial real estate loans by analyzing borrower, guarantor, and property-level financial information; Spread and analyze financial statements, tax returns, rent rolls, operating statements, and borrowing base reports; Evaluate cash flow, debt service coverage, leverage, liquidity, net worth, and other key credit metrics; Review third-party reports including appraisals, environmental assessments, engineering reports, and market studies; Analyze property performance, occupancy trends, lease structures, market conditions, and collateral quality; Conduct industry, market, and sponsor research to identify risks and support credit recommendations; Ensure underwriting packages comply with bank credit policies, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements; Support due diligence efforts and coordinate documentation requests with internal and external stakeholders; Participate in portfolio monitoring activities, covenant tracking, annual reviews, and borrower relationship management; Maintain underwriting models, databases, and reporting tools used for credit analysis and portfolio management; Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, and Credit Officers throughout the underwriting and approval process.
